Eternity Bands: Full and Partial
Compare diamond coverage, comfort, sizing flexibility, setting architecture, and how the band pairs with an engagement ring.
Compare diamond coverage, comfort, sizing flexibility, setting architecture, and how the band pairs with an engagement ring.

01 · Full versus partial
Choose how the diamonds travel around the band.
Coverage changes the view from every angle, the available plain-metal area and the way sizing options may be approached.

Full eternity
Diamonds continue around the entire circumference.
Three-quarter eternity
Diamonds extend around most of the band, leaving a limited plain-metal section.
Partial eternity
Diamonds cover part of the circumference, leaving a larger plain-metal sizing area.
02 · Sizing and resizing
Construction sets the limits.
Full eternity bands can be difficult or sometimes impractical to resize because diamonds and settings continue around the full circumference. Partial or three-quarter bands may offer more flexibility when sufficient plain shank is available, but every decision depends on the specific construction.
Read Nicotalya resizing guidance03 · Setting construction
Four methods. Four different profiles.
Setting construction changes visible metal, profile, access for cleaning, maintenance considerations and how the stones are protected. Availability must be confirmed for the specific design.

Shared-prong
Neighboring diamonds share securing points, reducing visible metal between stones.
U-prong
Open U-shaped side architecture can reveal more of each diamond’s profile.
Channel
Diamonds sit between two continuous metal walls without individual prongs between them.
Bezel
A metal rim frames all or part of each diamond’s perimeter.

04 · Comfort and pairing
Consider every angle.
Stone size, setting height, prong exposure and side contact can affect comfort between adjacent fingers. A lower profile may feel different from a more exposed setting.
Whether a wedding band sits flush depends on the engagement ring’s gallery, bridge and shoulders—not profile height alone.
Total carat weight
CTW is the combined diamond weight around the band. Ring size, stone size, coverage, count and construction can all change the total; one CTW is not universal across every size.
Diamond origin
Natural and laboratory-grown accents are presented neutrally where offered. Confirm the product’s disclosed accent origin rather than inferring it from another stone.
